Hi, How Can We Help You?

Back Pain

Back pain refers to an orthopedic issue characterized by discomfort along the back of your body, spanning from your lower neck to your tailbone. The pain can manifest as stabbing, sharp, or sudden, and may either intensify gradually over time or persist for an extended period. Seek prompt medical attention if you encounter low back pain accompanied by bladder or bowel control issues, along with heightened numbness or weakness in your arms or legs. Nerve compression in the lower spine can lead to these symptoms and potentially cause irreversible nerve damage.

Symptoms

Symptoms include:

  • Headache
  • Neck or shoulder pain
  • Hard time sleeping
  • Warmth, redness, or swelling on your back
  • Trouble moving or stiffness
  • Depression

Causes

Osteoarthritis:

Osteoarthritis is a condition where the cartilage in joints breaks down, leading to pain, stiffness, and reduced mobility. It is a prevalent type of arthritis that usually impacts older individuals, although it can also occur due to injury or excessive use.

Spinal Alignment Programs:

Spinal alignment programs are carefully designed interventions that aim to correct or enhance the alignment of the spine. They achieve this through a combination of exercises, stretches, and techniques that promote posture awareness.

Disc Problems:

Issues with the discs in the spine, like herniation or degeneration, can cause discomfort, tingling, and weakness in the back and limbs. Rest, physical therapy, medication, or surgery may be needed to alleviate symptoms and improve spine stability.

Muscle Strain and Spasms:

Muscle strain and spasms occur when the muscle fibers are stretched or torn, resulting in discomfort, rigidity, and involuntary muscle contractions. To relieve symptoms and facilitate recovery, it is recommended to rest, perform gentle stretches, and apply either heat or ice.

Complications

Most broken collarbones heal without difficulty. Complications, when they occur, might include:

  • Disability.
  • Reduced quality of life.
  • Psychological effects.
  • Potential for dependency on pain medications.
